Cinnamon Spice "Coffee"
Again, we bring you the fabulous flavors of Teeccino,
an herbal, no-caf "coffee" from the world
of alternative beverages. This simple Cinnamon Spice
recipe is decadent without being decadent, either as
a twist on your morning cup of coffee, or as a fabulous
after dinner drink. We like it both ways.
What we really love about the multitude of flavors that
Teeccino creator, Caroline MacDougal has dreamed up,
is the positive potassium boost instead of the typical
caffeine drag that comes after coffee's initial high.
Teeccino gives you sustained energy. It also contains
inulin, a soluble fiber found in chicory root that helps
improve digestion and elimination plus increases the
absorption of calcium and minerals.
You can find Teeccino at your health food store in
the coffee section or find special boutique flavors
at Teeccino.com.
Enjoy!
Recipe:
Put 2 rounded tablespoons of Teeccino into a filter.
Teeccino Original, Vanilla Nut, Mocha, Java, or Maya
Cafe or Chocolate would all be nice flavors to choose.
Sprinkle evenly 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder over the
Teeccino grounds.
Sprinkle evenly 1/2 teaspoon ginger over the cinnamon.
Brew using 4 cups of water in a drip coffee maker or
2 cups (16 oz.) of water in a French press or cone filter.
Sweeten with 1 teaspoon sugar or agave syrup. Add 4
oz. of hot frothed milk or soy milk. And for the truly
indulgent, a dollop of whipped cream. Makes
2 servings. |
